Tisch brings the cultural resources of New York to students in countless ways – by making available internships, part-time employment and free-lance opportunities; by inviting guest artists into the classroom; by incorporating the work of theatres, museums, media organizations and others into the curriculum; by facilitating service learning experiences in the community; and by exposing students to the immense variety of social worlds contained within New York's dozens of different neighborhoods. New York is more than just a lively and fun playground for our students. It is an integral part of the Tisch educational experience and plays an essential role in the artistic, intellectual, professional and personal development of our students.
