Alumni
Alumni from the Future Filmmakers Workshop have gone on to pursue film studies at the Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, as well as at Yale and UCLA.
Funding
The Future Filmmakers Workshop received early support from the Aaron Diamond Foundation. More recently, Bill Cosby committed to do a series of benefit concerts to endow the workshop in perpetuity and to offer scholarship assistance to alumni of the workshop who qualify for admission to the undergraduate degree program in film at the Tisch School.
Dr. Cosby's first concert took place in 1994 at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts in New York City. His second and third concerts were at the Vail Marriott Resort in Colorado and at Lincoln Center in New York.
The Future Filmmakers Workshop received additional support in 1999-2000 in the form of a generous gift from NikeTown NYC and Nike, Inc., in Beaverton, Oregon, including a screening and award ceremony at NikeTown in New York City.
