Carlos de Jesus

Carlos de Jesus, associate professor of film and television at Tisch School of the Arts, has been the program director and a dedicated faculty member of the Future Filmmakers Workshop since its inception. Producer/director of drama and documentaries in film and video, his one-hour documentary, That Old Gang of Mine, has aired on public television.

Mr. de Jesus is also codirector of the First World Order Project, a long-term telecommunications project that focuses on traditional as well as contemporary expressions of African cultural practice throughout the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe, India, and the Pacific Islands.

Chris Chan Roberson

Chris Chan Roberson graduated from the Future Filmmakers Workshop in 1994. That same year, he became a freshman in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, Undergraduate Division, and a teaching assistant for the workshop.

Chris continues to work with Future Filmmakers and also teaches a freshman-level production class at Tisch. Besides teaching, Chris is a filmmaker of experimental short films and uses the Internet as his theatre.

The program is supported by two teaching assistants who are Future Filmmakers alumni and current film majors at Tisch.
